Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED Provider Course
This course is specially designed to train those responsible for children’s health in meeting state-specific requirements.
Backed by comprehensive state-by-state research, it meets the regulatory and credentialed training requirements for child-care workers in all 50 states.
The course covers:
- Pediatric First Aid
- Asthma Care and Inhalers
- Car safety
- Reducing risk for SIDS
- How to prevent indoor/outdoor injuries
- When to suspect child abuse
- Adult/Child CPR with mask
- Adult/Child AED
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course is intended for:
- child-care and foster-care workers
- parents and grandparents
- nannies and babysitters
- camp counselors
- teachers and other educators
- anyone else with responsibility to care for children
Course length can range from 7 – 8 hours, depending on needs and the modules taught, with skills practice (first aid) and skills testing (CPR & AED) by an American Heart Association instructor during the course.
